WETWORX / THE DETAILS
PPF, wraps & coated-car care.
Protection still needs proper care.
Paint protection film (PPF), vinyl wraps and ceramic coatings have their own care requirements. WetWorx is a cleaning product; it does not replace a film or coating, repair scratches or provide a new PPF warranty.
Check compatibility before use.
Ask your film or coating provider whether WetWorx is suitable for your specific surface. Follow their aftercare instructions, including the curing period after a new installation. A spot-test is useful, but it does not override those instructions or establish warranty approval.
Pay particular attention to matte and satin surfaces. Do not assume that a product intended to leave a glossy finish is appropriate for a finish designed to stay matte.
For a suitable surface with light dirt.
- Inspect the surface. Rinse heavy mud, sand and grit before contact cleaning.
- Work in shade on cool panels. Shake the ready-to-use bottle.
- Spot-test an inconspicuous area and check for any unwanted appearance change.
- Spray generously over one lightly soiled panel. Do not let it dry on the surface.
- Wipe gently with a clean microfibre face. Avoid snagging exposed or lifting film edges. Turn or replace dirty cloths.
- Buff lightly with a clean, dry face or a second cloth. Stop if the surface needs a full wash.
Generous lubrication, fresh cloths and light pressure help minimise scratch risk; they cannot eliminate it. If you are unsure about a film edge, finish or contaminant, ask your installer before continuing.
Why installer guidance matters.
Film care instructions vary by product. For example, XPEL’s product-care guidance sets out different installation waiting periods and specific care products for its films. That guidance is not an approval of WetWorx; use the instructions for your own installation.
