Waterless Car Wash Guide

A waterless car wash is a practical way to clean light dust, fingerprints and light dirt without a hose or bucket. This guide explains when to use WetWorx, how to wipe safely, and when your car needs rinsing first.

What does a waterless detailer do?

WetWorx is a ready-to-use waterless car-cleaning spray. Spray it onto a lightly soiled panel, wipe gently with a clean microfibre cloth, then buff with a clean, dry cloth face. It suits touch-ups between full washes, at home, at work or before a car meet.

The 500ml bottle is ready to use. Do not dilute it. Waterless cleaning avoids the hose-and-bucket setup for light dirt; it does not make heavy contamination safe to wipe away.

Check the surface before you start

• Light dust or fingerprints: use WetWorx with generous product, light pressure and clean microfibre cloths.
• Heavy mud, sand or grit: rinse first. Do not drag those particles across the paint.
• Hot panels or direct sun: move into shade and let the bodywork cool before cleaning.
• Wraps, PPF, matte paint or ceramic coatings: follow the finish manufacturer's care instructions and spot-test an inconspicuous area.

How to use WetWorx: spray, wipe, buff

1. Prepare your cloths. Set out clean microfibre cloths and keep spare clean cloths nearby. Fold a cloth into quarters so you can turn to a fresh face.
2. Shake and spray. Shake the bottle well. Spray generously onto one cool, lightly soiled panel at a time. Do not let the product dry on the panel.
3. Wipe gently. Use a light, straight pass rather than scrubbing. Turn the cloth to a clean face frequently. Replace a dirty cloth instead of continuing to wipe with it.
4. Buff the finish. Use a clean, dry face or a second cloth to buff lightly. Repeat panel by panel.

No contact-cleaning method can eliminate scratch risk. Clean cloths, generous lubrication, light pressure and a careful surface check help minimise it. If you are unsure about the amount of grit on the car, rinse it first.
